Property Assistants
The Property Assistant serves as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for the Office of University Housing. Based at the front desk of a residence hall, apartment complex, or other assigned building, this role is essential in supporting daily operations, guest services, and overall building security.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist residents, guests, and visitors with professionalism and warmth
Answer phones and provide accurate information about housing services
Monitor building access and log guest activity
Report maintenance issues and suspicious activity using the housing systems
Support general office procedures such as filing and data entry

Community Assistants (The Heritage Apartments)
The Community Assistant (CA) is a vital member of our residential team, dedicated to enhancing the living experience of residents at The Heritage at Cajun Village Apartments. This position combines leadership, community engagement, and hands-on support to help foster a safe, vibrant, and welcoming environment. The student must have lived on campus for one semester, be eligible to live at The Heritage at Cajun Village Apartments, and live on-site while serving in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and host monthly community events within budget
Assist with resident lockouts and roommate concerns
Provide front desk coverage and maintain accurate records
Support minor maintenance tasks and on-call emergency response
Assist with check-in/check-out each academic term
